The Kiwanis Club of Malden Continues Award Winning R.I.F. Program

During the week of Feb 11th, the Kiwanis Club of Malden visited the various elementary schools in Malden to share the joy of reading with the children. Through the Reading is Fundamental Program, Volunteers from the club took time from their day to read a story to the children and present each child with a book of their own to take home. This was the third and final installment of this program. Last year the Malden Kiwanis’s RIF initiative and its coordinators, Maria Sentance and Syzanne Tynemouth were awarded recognition in Washington DC for the size and level of community participation. Over the past four years, the Kiwanis Club of Malden has presented over 6000 books to the school children of Malden.
